Memorial website in the memory of your loved one
This memorial website was created in memory of my son, Hayden Christopher Putteet who was born in Garland, Texas on December 24, 1991 and passed away in Fort Worth, Texas on June 21, 2005 at the age of 13.

Hayden was a kind, gentle, loving, intelligent person. He was also a very unique person, and was very comfortable in his own skin. He had many friends, and they came from all age groups and included many different types of people.

Hayden's favorite sport was skating (skateboarding). He enjoyed it very much, and practiced his jumps and moves for hours almost on a daily basis. He enjoyed going to the skatepark, and also just hanging out with his buds that were also into skating.

Music was a big part of Hayden's life as well. Some of his favorite groups were Interpol, The Misfits, The Hellacopters, Ambulance Ltd., Dragonforce, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Del the Funky Homosapien, Thursday, MSI, Bjork, Johnny Cash, The Beatles, The Who, The Doors, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Dandy Warhols, Lamb of God, The Clash.

Hayden played the guitar, and also played the french horn in his school band. He was quite good at both, although he rarely brought his french horn home to practice :-) He took private French Horn lessons at his school, and his instructor told me Hayden was his favorite student, and also his friend.

Hayden was an A Honor Role student the majority of his school years. His standardized test scores were always in the 95th percentile. His intellectual level was way above that of the average 13 year old. Hayden loved to read, mostly fictional fantasy tales, and he especially liked the Harry Potter series and his all time favorite was The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. He first read that story when he was 7 years old, and he always identified with it.

My son was a very special human being. Everyone that met him knew this. He was different, in a good way. He touched so many people's lives, and was a positive influence. He had no care for expensive clothing labels or money. Hayden was all about what was inside himself, which was goodness. I admired my 13 year old son more than anyone else I had ever met in my life. I miss him more than I will ever be able to put into words.

His legacy
He Made me a Better Person
Hayden was the greatest gift I ever recieved. He taught me so much about growing up, as we did that together. We weren't finished yet. I think it is awesome that my son taught me so much about truth, about respect (one must give it to get it), about Love. It was because of Hayden that I was able to learn how to do all that, and so much more that I just can't write about right now. I am so proud I am his mom. It is so heartbreaking that our time together was cut short, because we still had so much to learn from each other, and so much left to do together. My greatest wish for now is that someday we will be together again.
